Looking for Creative Commons music? Ask to the Free Music Archive

Looking for some Creative Commons music for your movie or clip? Or more simply you’re in search of some free good music?

The Free Music Archive is your place. The Free Music Archive is a platform for collaboration between the directors (WFMU, the most renowned freeform radio station in America)  and a group of fellow curators, including KEXP, dublab, KBOO, ISSUE Project Room, and CASH Music.

On Free Music Archive you can find all kinds of music, and some of the albums are really good.

Here some records I’m enjoying in these days:

Digi G’Alessio (tropicalia/trip-hop/electronica)

Good old Oval (yes, that Oval!)

And Eat Rabbit (the turbo-8bit-electro-breakcore-punk performer)

But I’m just at the beginning of the exploration.

The search engine works very well and the tag system allows you to discover a lot of new stuff.

Enjoy!
